Affordable Home Scheme

Affordable Home Scheme

Are you struggling to save up the deposit you need to buy your first home?  Or are you unable to get a mortgage for the amount you need to buy your first home?

Have you considered getting an affordable home?

The affordable home scheme is operated by the local authorities. An affordable home is a home that you buy at a discount to the market price.  You must be a first time buyer to qualify for an affordable home. You must live in the property and if you sell the property within 20 years, you must pay back a percentage of the sale price.

To find out if you qualify for an affordable home, you must contact your local authority.  There are a number of criteria that apply all across the country, but some local authorities have different income limits.

How can you help me buy my affordable home?

You will need to have mortgage approval to buy an affordable home. It is possible to borrow up to 97% of the purchase price of the property.
